CONSULTARE
Description

Consultare is a mobile app developed in partnership with HLink and the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) that puts first aid information within immediate reach of anyone. In public health emergencies, the first few minutes determine the outcome and a trained professional is not always present. The app delivers clear, immediate guidance for the most critical situations, in a format designed to be read under stress by someone with no clinical training.

My Role and Contributions
  • Backend Architecture: Designed and built the Laravel API that manages, versions and delivers all clinical content to the mobile app.

  • Data Model: Structured the first aid content hierarchically, enabling categorisation by emergency type and fast navigation.

  • Content Management System: Built the backoffice that lets the health team update procedures without shipping a new app version.

Key Features
  • First Aid Guides: Step-by-step procedures for major public health emergencies, written in language accessible to the general public.

  • Immediate Access: Navigation structure optimised to surface the right information in the shortest possible time.

  • Updatable Content: Procedures updated remotely through the API, ensuring users always have the latest guidance.

Technologies Used
  • Backend: Laravel with a RESTful API, content versioning and endpoint authentication.

  • Database: MySQL with categorised content structure optimised for frequent reads.

  • Distribution: Android app published on the Google Play Store, consuming the content API.

Results and Impact
  • Institutional Partnership: Delivered in partnership with HLink and the Islamic Development Bank, meeting the quality requirements of an international funder.

  • Downloads: +10m installs on the Google Play Store.
