Cobest Marketplace is a multi-vendor e-commerce platform developed for the Mozambican market. The system enables multiple vendors to sell products within a single ecosystem while providing customers with a unified shopping experience. The platform includes vendor dashboards, a central administrative system, and a mobile-integrated infrastructure designed to support online commerce, local payment systems, and logistics management.

My Role and Leadership

• Platform Architecture: Designed and structured the complete marketplace infrastructure including the admin panel, vendor dashboards, and customer interface. 

• Full-Stack Development: Built the core backend system, APIs, and database architecture to support a scalable multi-vendor ecosystem. 

• Financial Integrations: Implemented complex payment logic for local mobile money systems and banking integrations.

• Multi-Vendor System: Vendors can manage their own inventory, pricing, product listings, and order fulfillment through dedicated dashboards. 

• Local Payment Solutions: Integrated local payment systems including M-Pesa, Ponto 24, and installment payment options. 

• Mobile Application Integration: Developed APIs that synchronize the web platform with Android and iOS mobile applications. 

• Order & Logistics Management: Features for order tracking, returns management, and real-time reporting for vendors and administrators. 

Technology Stack

• Backend: PHP 8 with Laravel 12 framework used to build the core marketplace engine, vendor management system, and transaction processing. 

• Frontend Web: Laravel Blade templates with optional React components used to create a dynamic and responsive web interface. 

• Mobile Applications: Flutter 3.x used to build cross-platform mobile apps for both Android and iOS devices connected through REST APIs. 

• Database: MySQL and PostgreSQL used to store marketplace data including products, vendors, orders, and customer accounts. 

• Payment Integrations: Integrated M-Pesa API, Ponto 24 payment system, and an internal installment credit system for flexible purchasing. 

• Performance & Caching: Redis caching and database query optimization techniques implemented to ensure high performance under heavy traffic. 

• Storage: Product images and files stored using AWS S3 cloud storage and local storage solutions. 

• Real-Time Services: Firebase used for push notifications, messaging services, and real-time updates. 

• Security: SSL encryption and Google reCAPTCHA v3 implemented to protect user authentication and prevent malicious activity.
