The apps I've built aren't shop windows they're working tools used by field agents, healthcare professionals and citizens in areas where the internet connection is intermittent. That changes everything about the architecture: data has to exist locally, synchronisation has to resolve conflicts on its own, and the app has to stay useful when the phone has no signal. I have apps live and active on both major stores.
